Während es bei HTML-Seiten, Bildern oder PHP-Skripts genügt die Dateien einfach hochzuladen, müssen CGI-Skripts (Perl, Python etc.) zusätzlich noch als "ausführbar" markiert werden um sie aufrufen zu können.
Wenn Sie zum Übertragen von Dateien ein FTP-Programm wie FileZilla verwenden, dann können Sie die Attribute des Skriptes sehr einfach ändern, indem Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf den Dateinamen des Skriptes klicken, Dateiattribute... auswählen und dort die Rechte auf 755 ändern, wie im folgenden Screenshot:
